Casablanca to Host Second Festival of Andalusian Music

The second edition of the Moroccan Festival of Andalusian Music will take place from January 18 to 20 in Casablanca, under the theme “Morocco, the land of different civilizations and cultures”.

Organized by the Moroccan Association of Andalusian Music (AMMA), under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, this event will see the participation of several artists and orchestras from different backgrounds.

A press release from the organizers specifies that “a physical audience of 3,000 people, and several thousand online spectators, will have the immense pleasure of delighting in sumptuous artistic performances which will dazzle the guests with their rich and varied repertoires”. 

The list of participants will include the Andalusian Orchestra of Fez, chaired by the grand master Mohamed BRIOUEL, the Spanish group of Gema Caballero, the Rawafid orchestra, directed by the prodigious musicologist Omar METIOUI, the Moroccan Orchestra of Andalusian Music, under the direction of Master Driss Berrada, talented singer Abir El Abed, ambassador of the Mouachahates and Koudoud Halabiya, Badr Rami, Angham Achark Orchestra, under the direction of maestro Rami Zeitouni, renowned performer Fadwa Tadist and many other talented artists.
