Countering Terrorism: 322 Detainees Benefit from Moussalaha Program

The Moussalaha Center for the Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Prisoners Convicted of Extremism and Terrorism launched, on February 19 at the local prison of Salé, the 14th edition of the Moussalaha Program which will benefit 21 prisoners, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 322 since its launch in 2017.

According to a press release, a total of 22 inmates took part in the 13th edition of this initiative which just wrapped on February 19 at the local prison of Salé.

These two editions were organized by the Moussalaha Center, which was established under a partnership agreement signed last November by partners in the application of the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with the aim of capitalizing on the good practices accumulated under this program.

The launching ceremony took place in the presence of the General Delegate for Prison Administration and Reintegration, Mohamed Saleh Tamek, the Secretary General of the Rabita Mohammadia of Ulemas, Ahmed Abbadi, the President of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH), Amina Bouayach, Coordinator of Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prison Inmates and representatives of institutional partners, as well as experts and mentors.
