COVID-19: Vaccination in Moroccan Prisons Reaches 92%

The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) reported, on October 13, that 92% of inmates in Moroccan prisons have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

“The vaccination campaign is underway to inoculate other unvaccinated inmates,” pointed out DGAPR in a statement.

Accordingly, and as part of the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign, the DGAPR holds permanent coordination with health and administrative authorities, with the objective of increasing the number of staff in order to extend this campaign to all prisoners.

“The third dose vaccine will take place as soon as possible in prisons to ensure optimal protection for all inmates,” the statement concluded.
