HM King Mohammed VI Chairs Reception in M’diq on the Occasion of Throne Day

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired, on July 30, a reception at the M’diq-Fnideq prefecture square (M’diq town) in celebration of the 24th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the throne of his glorious ancestors.

His Majesty the King was greeted by several Moroccan and foreign personalities, who gathered to offer their best wishes to His Majesty the King on this joyous occasion, namely Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Councillors, Enaam Mayara. 

The Sovereign was also greeted by the President-Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, First President of the Court of Cassation, Mohamed Abdennabaoui, President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, King’s Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, El Hassan Daki, President of the Constitutional Court, Said Ihrai, First President of the Court of Auditors, Zineb El Adaoui, the President of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council, Ahmed Réda Chami, the Secretary-General of the Higher Council of Ulemas, Mohamed Yssef, President of the Higher Council of Education, Training, and Scientific Research, Habib El Malki, and the President of the Moroccan National Human Rights Council (CNDH), Amina Bouayach.

His Majesty was greeted by the Kingdom’s Ombudsman, Mohamed Benalilou, President of the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA), Latifa Akherbach, President of the Competition Council, Ahmed Rahhou, President of the National Authority for Probity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption (INPPLC), Mohamed Bachir Rachdi, the President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid (CORCAS), the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region, Governor of the Tangier-Asilah Prefecture, Mohamed Mhidia, and President of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region Council, Omar Moro.

The Sovereign was then greeted by Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, Commander of the Southern Zone, Major General Mohamed Berrid, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, Lieutenant General Mohamed Haramou, Inspector of the Royal Air Force, Major General Mohamed Gadih, Inspector of the Royal Navy, Colonel Major Mohamed Tahin, Head of the Third Bureau, Colonel Major Azzeddine Khalid, Inspector of the Auxiliary Forces (Northern Zone), Brigadier General Jabrane Khalid, Inspector of the Auxiliary Forces (Southern Zone),  Colonel Major Mustapha Hdiouad, Director General of National Security (DGSN) and National Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, and Director General of Studies and Documentation (DGED), Mohamed Yassine El Mansouri.

His Majesty the King was greeted by the Dean of the African diplomatic corps, Cameroon’s Ambassador, Mouhamadou Youssifou, the Dean of the Arab diplomatic corps, Bahrain’s Ambassador, Khalid Bin Salman Jabr Al-Musallam, the Dean of the European diplomatic corps, Spain’s Ambassador, Ricardo Diez-Holchleitner Rodriguez,  the Dean of the American diplomatic corps, Peru’s Ambassador, Felix Arturo Chipoco Caceda, and the Dean of the Asian diplomatic corps, Malaysia’s Ambassador, Astanah Banu Binti Shri.

The Sovereign was also greeted by Tangier’s Archbishop, Monsignor Emilio Rocha Grande, President of the Evangelical Church in Morocco, the Reverend Pastor Karen Thomas Smith, and Chief Rabbi of Casablanca, Yossef Israel. 

The celebration of the 24th anniversary of Throne Day is an opportunity for all the components of the Nation to reiterate their fidelity, loyalty, and unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alawite Throne.
