His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and sympathy to the family of the late Moulay Taher Asbahani.
In this message, His Majesty the King stated that he learned with sadness the news of the passing of the late artist, Moulay Taher Asbahani, the founding member of the iconic group Jil Jilala.
On this painful occasion, His Majesty the King expressed His heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the late Moulay Taher Asbahani, his loved ones, and admirers for the loss of this great multi-talented artist, renowned for his contribution to the radiance and uniqueness of Jil Jilala, whose musical style, themes and rhythms are inspired by Morocco’s unique cultural heritage.
His Majesty the King also recalled the late Asbahani’s humane qualities, sincere patriotism, unwavering devotion, and the commendable services the deceased rendered to his country and his art, imploring Allah to grant the late Asbahani’s family patience and comfort and to surround the deceased with His Holy mercy.His Majesty’s message concluded with the following Quranic verse: “Verily, we belong to Allah, and it is to Him that we are destined to return.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 156)
