Irregular Migration: Royal Navy Units Provide Assistance to 124 Sub-Saharan Africans

Royal Navy units conducting a sea patrol mission, intercepted, on the evening of January 3, 75 km west of the city of Dakhla, two canoes with a total of 124 sub-Saharan Africans on board, including 8 minors.

The two canoes heading toward the Canary Islands, stated a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).

According to the same source, the individuals received the necessary care on board, before being transported to the port of Dakhla and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the standard administrative procedures.
