Lower House Speaker Represents HM King Mohammed VI at Investiture Ceremony of Argentina’s New President

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the investiture ceremony of Argentina’s new President, Javier Milei, which took place on December 10 in Buenos Aires.

The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the National Congress of Argentina, in the presence of the King of Spain Felipe VI, Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, and several heads of state from the region, including Chile’s Gabriel Boric, Uruguay’s Luis Lacalle Pou, Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa, Paraguay’s Santiago Pena and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, as well as delegations representing several countries around the world.

In a statement to Maghreb Arab Presse (MAP), Talbi El Alami stated that during this ceremony, he conveyed to Milei the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty the King on the occasion of his election, emphasizing the Kingdom’s willingness to strengthen the excellent relations between Morocco and Argentina in different areas.

The Lower House Speaker was accompanied by Morocco’s Ambassador to Argentina, Fares Yassir.

It should be recalled that His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to President Javier Milei in which the Sovereign praised the privileged relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Argentina, which are based on solid friendship and mutual appreciation, expressing His determination to work together with Milei to strengthen bilateral cooperation in different areas of common interest.
