The elements of the Judicial Police Brigade under the provincial security district of the city of Mohammedia proceeded, on Friday June 3, 2022, to the arrest of an individual for his alleged involvement in the intentional homicide of a woman, with attempted theft, said the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).
The national security services of Mohammedia had proceeded, last week, to the examination of the body of the victim (30 years old) at his home, located in the Hassania district in the same city, underlines the DGSN in a press release, adding that the victim was stabbed to death while his father was slightly injured after resisting the alleged assailant (21 years old).
The suspect was identified through research and investigations carried out in the field and technical expertise carried out by the elements of the judicial police, in coordination with the crime scene technicians and the experts of the scientific and technical police, and after viewing the camera recordings at the crime scene and using the evidence, samples and genetic fingerprints taken from the seized objects, specifies the same source.
The investigations carried out led, on Friday morning, to the arrest of the suspect who was under the influence of drugs, the statement said, adding that the defendant was placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to elucidate the ins and outs of this case, the theft of which, according to the preliminary results of the investigation, is the main reason.
