Morocco records 1702 new covid-19 cases and 31 deaths In 24 Hours

‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 1,702 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 923,924  since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 2,451 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 890,734, accounting for 96,4 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 31 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,040. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass 9 in the Rabat- Sale- Kenitra region, followed by the Casablanca-Settat region that recorded 8 deaths, one in each Tangier, Titouan, Al Hoceima, 6 in the East, 4 in both Marrakesh and Safi, 2 in both Fez and Meknes, and one in Souss – Massa.

         Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 21 580 332 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 17 943 587 people.
