Morocco records 727 new covid-19 cases and 18 deaths In 24 Hours

‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 727 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 936,963 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 1,491 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 913,229, accounting for 97, 4 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 18 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,390. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass 8 in the Casablanca-Settat region, followed by the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region which recorded 6, Marrakesh and Safi that recorded 1, in addition to 2 in Tangier-Titouan- Al Hoceima region, and 1 in Daraa-Tafilalet.

  Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 22 953 940 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 19 758 226 people. Regarding Covid-19 third dose vaccine, 64 077 people received it.
