The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, took part in the  Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) which kicked off on May 2 in Paris.

This meeting brings together ministers of Finance, Economy, Foreign Affairs, Trade, and other ministries of Member and Partner countries, in addition to representatives of international organizations.

On the sidelines of this two-day event, Minister Fettah will hold a series of meetings with several ministers and representatives of international and regional organizations.

Held under the theme “Creating Momentum for Change Together: Leading Global Debates by Adopting Objective and Reliable Approaches in Support of Sustainable and Inclusive Growth”, the meeting will cover three main axes, namely “strengthening the influence of our work thanks to an OECD characterized by diversity, inclusiveness and a community of views”, “an economic order based on common values: preserving free and fair and strengthen economic resilience with the greatest determination” and “creating a better future together: tackling emerging challenges on a global scale”.

This year’s Ministerial Council Meeting, chaired by Japan and vice-chaired by Mexico and the Netherlands, provides members and non-members with the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions on the various challenges facing the international community.
