OPPO Introduces New A77s with Long-lasting Battery, Premium Design and Enhanced Imaging Capabilities

OPPO announced Tuesday, December 6, the launch of the new OPPO A77s in Morocco. Featuring upgrades in photography, entertainment, and ColorOS 12.1 operating system, the OPPO A77s delivers an all-around smooth performance for its users. 

Built using OPPO’s unique manufacturing processes, the new A77s comes in two fresh color finishes; Sunset Orange and Sky Blue. With its Ultra-Slim Retro Design body, the A77s is just 7.99 mm thick and weighs only 187g, providing the phone with a sleek and premium appearance all while being comfortable to hold and operate in any situation. 

To verify the phone’s resistance to water splashes, scratches, abrasion, and other common wear and tear, more than 130 ultra-rigorous reliability tests and more than 320 comprehensive quality tests are conducted on each A77s.

One of the most common problems phone users complain about is battery durability, and OPPO took note. With 33W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge, the A77s can be charged to 100% in about 71 minutes, while a 5-minute charge is enough to provide 2.98 hours of phone calls. When fully charged, the long-lasting 5,000mAh battery can provide more than 14 days of standby or over 17 hours of typical YouTube video viewing. In addition, charging hardware protection, including overvoltage and overcurrent protection technologies, ensures that the battery is always charged safely. 

As for photoraphs quality in the new A77, the company introduced a 50MP AI Dual Camera and new features to capture incredible video and photo content: Bokeh Flare Portrait allows users to capture portrait images with rich bokeh light spots like a professional camera, while Selfie HDR provides clear selfies in dimly lit or backlit surroundings. 

The A77 is also equipped with a dual Ultra-Linear Stereo Speaker with DIRAC 3.0, which delivers higher-quality stereo audio with enhanced volume in videos, while the 6.56-inch Color-Rich display with 90Hz high refresh rate ensures a smooth and comfortable display for users to enjoy high-definition video content and games on. 

At the heart of the A77s is the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 680 4G Mobile Platform, delivering a 102% increase in CPU performance, and a 76% increase in GPU performance compared to the previous generation. The 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM configuration supports enlarged storage and a smoother user experience, enabling more possibilities for everyday entertainment. RAM Expansion technology can augment the original RAM up to 8GB, while the phone also supports SD card expansion of up to 1TB ROM.

The A77s provides enhanced data privacy and information security thanks to features in ColorOS 12.1. Photo Data Privacy allows users to easily remove the detailed photo and video metadata, helping to prevent private information from being leaked. With the Privacy Dashboard, users can see and manage how applications access their personal data, ensuring that sensitive information is not used inappropriately.

ColorOS 12.1 is also built for convenience and efficiency. FlexDrop allows users to keep an additional app open in a small floating window, providing more effective multi-tasking when switching between apps.  Three-Finger Translate with Google Lens can quickly translate text in the selected area of a screenshot and includes support for over 100 languages.

The OPPO A77s was launched for sale in Morocco last Tuesday, December 5. The 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM model will be priced at 2899 dh and can be purchased via OPPO’s offcial website and other Partners stores.
