The National coach Vahid Halilhodzic will unveil, this Thursday, the list of players summoned to take part in the next three games of the Atlas Lions, counting for the qualifiers of the 2022 World Cup.
The roster will be announced at a press conference starting at 11 A.M. The Atlas Lions will have to play three games in a week, but at home. A double confrontation against Guinea Bissau, on 6 and 9 October, then the missed match in Conakry will be played on the 12th of the same month. Indeed, three important meetings for the Moroccan selection and which will determine the further course of Morocco in these qualifiers.
Even though the Atlas Lions have the advantage of playing at home, the lack of time between the three games can be an obstacle. Some observers also believe that the dispute between the coach and Hakim Ziyech could affect the morale of the team.
Accordingly , if the absence of Hakim Ziyech, sidelined for “disciplinary” reasons is confirmed, the list of Halilhodzic could include players like Amine Harit (Olympique Marseille) and Noussair Mazraoui (Ajax Amsterdam).
