Rabat – The Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, indicated on Thursday in Rabat that the funding intended for the beneficiaries of the “Forsa” program will be granted from next August.
Reacting to questions from journalists during a press briefing after the weekly meeting of the Council of Government, Mr. Baitas mentioned the processing of a total of 160,000 requests via the Forsa customer relations center, noting that incomplete applications will receive support to integrate them into the program as soon as possible.
Recalling that Forsa Program has gone through all the main stages, completed by the generalization of regional selection commissions to all regions of Morocco, the Minister affirmed that the creation of these commissions constitutes the last stage before effective access to this program. through training.
The Forsa program will reach its cruising speed at the end of July through the holding of meetings of the regional selection commissions which will allow the processing of around 2,000 files per week, Mr. Baitas observed.
In parallel with these meetings, the stage of individual interviews which allows project leaders to defend their ideas in front of experts, will be accelerated, he added, noting that “more than 5,900 interviews have taken place to date. ‘today”.
In March, the government launched the “FORSA” program, which is aimed at all people over the age of 18 with ideas or entrepreneurial projects, given the difficulties young people have in accessing sources financing and constraints faced by very small businesses, and in view of the effects of the crisis of the new coronavirus (covid-19) on the national economy.
The said program, which comes in response to the High Royal Guidelines for the promotion of investment and employment, particularly among young people, will be allocated a budget of 1.25 billion dirhams (MMDH) under the year 2022 and will target the support of 10,000 project leaders including all sectors of the economy, while ensuring the principles of regional and gender equity.
The financing mechanism provided for the benefit of the beneficiaries consists of an honor loan of a maximum amount of 100,000 dirhams, including a grant of up to 10,000 dirhams. All sectors of activity are eligible and the maximum loan repayment period is 10 years with a grace period of 2 years.
