Morocco will be the guest of honor at the 3rd edition of the Innovation for the Climate Forum (InnoClimat 2023), scheduled to kick off on November 10 in the Swiss municipality Montreux.
According to the Solar Impulse Foundation and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), which are co-organizing the event, Morocco was chosen as the guest of honor thanks to its leadership in the field of renewable energies and the fight against climate change.
Morocco will be represented at this Forum by the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN), the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development (MTEDD), and the Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), as well as three innovative Moroccan start-ups.
The Forum aims to exchange expertise in the field of innovation and climate to approach development from the perspective of sustainability and the fight against climate change.
The event will also provide a platform for innovative companies to present their projects and achievements, as well as how they address the challenges posed by global warming.
For Morocco, the forum will be an opportunity to present and promote its actions and achievements in the field of climate to Swiss elected representatives and stakeholders, facilitate meetings with innovative Swiss start-ups, and explore prospects for cooperation between the two countries’ institutional and economic partners.
This year’s edition will bring together Swiss federal, cantonal, and local representatives, as well as professors and researchers, heads of companies, particularly start-ups, and representatives of financial institutions.
