The Moroccan women’s volleyball selection defeated, on August 16, their Burkinabe counterpart (3-0) on the first day of the African Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship, underway in Yaoundé in Cameroon until August 25.
The Moroccan selection won the first (25-18) and the second sets (25-11) before dominating the third one (25-7).
The Moroccan women’s volleyball selection is in Group B, alongside Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Burkina Faso, and Lesotho.
The national selection is a three-time champion of the African Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship (2017-2019-2021) while Kenya, runners-up at the last edition held in Rwanda, is the most successful team (9 titles).
