Bayt Mal al-Quds Asharif Agency inaugurated, Thursday in Al-Quds, a unit for coordination and monitoring of emergency cases at Al Makassed Hospital, with financial support from Morocco.
The inauguration of this unit, which is a part of the Agency’s annual budget allocated to supporting the health sector, was supervised by the Director Manager of Bayt Mal al-Quds Asharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, accompanied by the Director of Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital in Jerusalem, Adnan Farhud, and several members of the Palestinian medical staff.
On this occasion, Cherkaoui stated that the establishment of this unit is part of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s constant concern for Al-Quds city and its inhabitants, adding that this inauguration reflects the Agency’s commitment to implementing its pledges set out in the protocol of cooperation, which was signed during the visit of the delegation of the East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN) to Morocco in February.
Cherkaoui stated that this unit will constitute, along with the field hospital, when it will be handed over to the Red Crescent Society Hospital in Jerusalem, a pillar to simplify communication between the emergency teams in the field and the emergency teams at Al-Makassed hospital as it is the reference institution in emergencies in Al-Quds.
For his part, Farhoud noted that this unit, which is equipped with an information system for connectivity, coordination, and communication devices, and run by technicians under the supervision of medical and nursing staff, will strengthen the role played by the East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN) in connecting and networking between hospitals in emergency cases.
Doctor Farhoud expressed, on his behalf and on behalf of the hospital staff, his gratitude to the Moroccan Kingdom and His Majesty King Mohammed VI, commending the Moroccan health system, as well as Morocco’s hospital facilities that he visited with the delegation of East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN) last February.
The cooperation protocol signed by Bayt Mal al-Quds Agency with the East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN) and the Red Crescent Society Hospital aims at organizing training courses in Al-Quds or elsewhere to benefit medical and administrative staff specialized in emergencies.
This protocol further aims to organize visits to exchange expertise between doctors and medical and administrative staff specialized in emergencies in Al-Quds to Morocco and other countries, to establish joint technical and human resources skills development programs, and to organize joint scientific meetings.
