The Moroccan Under 23 selection secured its spot in the last four of the 2023 Under 23 African Cup of Nations (CAN U-23), following its impressive victory over Ghana (5-1) on June 28, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, in the second matchday of Group A.
The Moroccan selection took the lead by scoring three goals in the first thirty minutes, thanks to Amir Richardson (7’), Ismael Saibari (13’), and Yanis Reda Begraoui (30’).
Before the first half-time ended, Ghanaian Salim Adams (43’) scored in favor of his country.
In the second half, Morocco scored two more goals through Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (48’) and Begraoui (53’), sailing for the semifinals.
