The Director General for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, met Wednesday in Rabat with the Director General of the German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Thomas Haldenwang, and his accompanying senior deputies.
On this occasion, Hammouchi and Haldenwang assessed the security situation at the regional level and reviewed challenges stemming from the rising threat of terrorism.
The General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance reported that the two parties also discussed ways to strengthen security cooperation between Morocco and Germany based on solid foundations of credibility, trust, and mutual interest.
This meeting reflects the two parties’ commitment to strengthening security cooperation and consolidating the coordination of intelligence in the fight against security threats in Morocco and Germany in light of the major changes affecting organized crime.
