A unit of the Royal Navy intercepted, on January 8, approximately 33 km west of Dakhla, a canoe with 43 Sub-Saharan migrants on board, including 4 women and 3 minors.
According to a press release from the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the individuals rescued received the necessary aid on board before being transported to the port of Dakhla and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for standard administrative procedures.
