The Permanent Representatives to the League of Arab States (LAS) praised on December 4 in Cairo, Morocco’s sustained efforts to prepare and ensure the success of the work of the Arab-Russian Forum, scheduled for December 20 in Marrakech.
Speaking at a coordination meeting on the said forum, the Permanent Representatives expressed the hope that the meeting in Marrakech would be an opportunity to further promote Arab-Russian cooperation.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing preparations for the 6th Arab-Russian Forum, as well as the draft of the final communiqué and the action plan to be adopted during this session.
On this occasion, the Assistant General Secretary for International Political Affairs at the League of Arab States, Khaled Manzlawiy, indicated that the Arab-Russian Forum aims to consolidate partnership ties between Arab countries and Russia, recalling that the Forum was launched in 2013 under the memorandum of cooperation signed in 2009 between the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
