Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) star Lionel Messi will take a huge step in his football career with a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal next season, as reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP).
A Saudi source close to the negotiations told AFP that this move is a “done deal,” describing the contract as “massive.”
Contacted by the AFP, PSG recalled that Messi’s contract remains effective until June 30.
The footballer won on Monday, May 8, the “Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsman of the Year 2022” thanks to his performance with the Argentinian national team, winner of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.
Messi also accepted the “Team of the Year Award” on behalf of Argentina’s national football selection, who won the World Cup at the expense of France.
