Bahrain reiterated, on October 9 in New York, its firm position of solidarity in support of Morocco’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Intervening before the members of the Fourth Committee (4C) of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Bahrain’s representative to the United Nations (UN) emphasized his country’s “position of solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco in preserving its security and territorial integrity”.
The Bahraini diplomat reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for Morocco’s serious efforts to reach a political solution to the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, based on the Autonomy Plan and within the framework of Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The representative also praised the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General (UNSG) to reach a realistic, pragmatic, and lasting political solution, based on compromise and within the framework of Morocco’s national sovereignty.
