Jordan reiterated, on October 9 in New York before the Fourth Committee (4C) of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), its constant position in support of Morocco’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
Jordan’s representative to the United Nations (UN), Ahmad Samir Habashneh, praised the Autonomy Plan presented by Morocco to reach a political and compromising solution to the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, in accordance with the relevant Security Council (SC) resolutions.
The Jordanian diplomat commended the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General (UNSG) and his Personal Envoy, Staffan de Mistura, including his recent visits aimed at relaunching the political process to achieve a realistic and lasting solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue, in line with international law and Security Council (SC) resolutions.
The Jordanian representative also hailed the solid relations that unite Morocco and Jordan, emphasizing the two countries’ commitment to further strengthening their relations in several fields.
