President of the Spanish Royal Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, stated that the joint bid of Morocco, Spain, and Portugal to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup is “impeccably prepared” by the three countries.
“This multinational candidacy including Morocco, Spain, and Portugal is very attractive and impeccably prepared,” Rubiales said in an article published Wednesday in the daily “Sport”.
“I am more convinced than ever that this candidacy will rise to the challenge and will lead to success,” assured the President of the Spanish Football institution.
The Spanish official also added that “the work carried out by the Federations involved in this project will be eventually recognized.”
It should be recalled that His Majesty King Mohammed VI announced Morocco’s joint bid with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup in a message on the occasion of the presentation of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2022 last March in Kigali.
His Majesty the King stated that this joint bid, unprecedented in the history of football, will narrow the gap between Africa and Europe, the north and south of the Mediterranean, and the African, Arab, and Euro-Mediterranean worlds.
The Sovereign further noted that this candidacy will be that of gathering around the best on both sides, and the demonstration of an alliance of brilliance, innovation, expertise, and resources.
