Moroccans Reda Bennani and Malak El Allami booked a ticket to the second round of the 2023 French Open Juniors (Roland-Garros Juniors) on Sunday, June 4.
Benanni booked a seat in the second round following his win against South Korea’s Hoyoung Roh in three sets (1-6, 6-3, 6-3) during the first round of this competition organized as part of the Paris Grand Slam tournament.
In the next round, Bennani will face either Belgian Alexander Blockx or American Kyle Kang.
For her part, El Allami secured her ticket by defeating Italian Federica Urgesi in two sets (7-5, 6-1).
In the next round, El Allami will be up against French Astrid Lew Yan Foon, who eliminated American Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo.
Morocco’s Aya El Aouni will also participate in the final round of the Roland-Garros junior tournament, where she will face Russian Alisa Oktiabreva.
