A Royal Navy unit intercepted, on March 14, approximately 33 km southwest of the town of Tarfaya, a boat with 52 Sub-Saharan Africans on board, including 5 women, seeking irregular migration.
According to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the rescued individuals received first aid on board, before being brought back safely to the port of Tarfaya and entrusted to the Royal Gendarmerie for the standard administrative procedures.
