This year, the Royal Mansour Marrakech, located in Morocco, has been chosen as the best hotel in the world. The Grand Prize of Villagerie was awarded to Jean-Claude Messant, general manager of the hotel during a ceremony in the salons of the mansion of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, facing the Eiffel Tower.
“I am very proud to have received on behalf of the Royal Mansour but also on behalf of the kingdom of Morocco this Holiday Resort Award which rewards the best hotel in the world for the year 2021. It is a work of the team”, the general manager of the Royal Mansour Marrakech declared to the MAP. He also dedicates this “very beautiful reward” to all Moroccans and to all the people who helped him realize this dream.
The Royal Mansour Marrakech competed with Hotel Signiel Seoul (South Korea), Inter-Continental Lyon-Hôtel Dieu (France), Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese (Italy) and Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena (Colombia) for this award. Hotel de la ville ocher has also been nominated for two other Resort Awards: the best hotel suite Award and the best hotel pool Award. Also, Casablanca Hotel has been nominated for two awards: the best hotel terrace and the best boutique hotel.
Since 2003, the Resort Awards have honored the most beautiful hotels in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. A jury composed of twenty journalists from the international press covering the five continents is at the maneuver.
