World Travel Market (WTM), the world’s leading tourism event, announced, on July 3, that Morocco will be a Premier Partner of its 2023 edition, scheduled to be held between November 6 and 8 in London.
Morocco will be honored at one of the world’s leading tourism trade events, having already won the “Best Stand Design” award during the 2022 edition for its innovative pavilion, which stood out for its design and record surface area of 630 m2.
The World Travel Market (WTM) underlined in its press release that the announcement of this partnership coincides with a period of growth for Morocco’s tourism activity, noting that the Kingdom seeks to double the number of inbound tourists to reach 26 million by 2030.
World Travel Market (WTM) added that this ambition will establish Morocco as a leading leisure destination for travel professionals worldwide, noting that the Kingdom’s presence at this event will revolve around the “Morocco Kingdom of Light” campaign of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT).
Launched in April 2022, the “Morocco Kingdom of Light” campaign aims to inspire a new generation of travelers, showcasing the attractions and experiences of a “contemporary and dynamic” country.
The Director General of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), Adel El Fakir, stated that “our presence at World Travel Market (WTM) will be an excellent showcase to boost Morocco’s appeal as a tourist destination.”
“We will be at the heart of action when international tourism professionals come up with new products for 2024 and beyond, and we will also be at the forefront in terms of communication and promotion of the country,” said El Fakir.
For her part, World Travel Market (WTM) Exhibition Director, Juliette Losardo, stated that “we are delighted to announce Morocco as a Premier Partner of the World Travel Market (WTM) 2023 in London,” emphasizing the event’s commitment to supporting Morocco in achieving its 2030 goals.
“WTM London is the world’s most influential travel and tourism event, as well as being the sourcing hub for international travel buyers, and so provides the ideal place for Morocco to showcase what they have on offer, highlighting their vibrant culture and incredible hospitality,” underlined Losardo.
