Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that he is confident that Russia will win the war against Ukraine, during his speech to military leaders.
He added today, Wednesday, in a televised speech during a meeting of senior officials of the Russian Defense Ministry: “I am confident that step by step we will achieve all our goals.”
Putin began his speech with a minute of silence for the souls of the soldiers killed in the war, which began nearly 10 months ago.
Putin explained that the war is a valuable experience for strengthening the Russian army.
He compared the fighting in Ukraine to the Napoleonic Wars and World Wars I and II.
He called for accelerating the pace of rearming and modernizing the army.
