Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatima-Zahra Ammor, stated that during last year, the tourism sector has recovered by 82% compared to 2019, adding that the number of tourists who visited Morocco has nearly reached 11 million tourists.
On a similar note, the minister stated that the country has recovered 112% in foreign exchange inflows compared to 2019, equivalent to 81.7 billion dirhams.
Ammor further noted that Morocco is expected to benefit from a larger recovery, especially following the national team’s achievement at the World Cup, highlighting, in this regard, the pandemic the measures taken by the Kingdom to control the Covid 19 pandemic under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI
