Under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Belkhir El Farouk, Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone, received on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) General Staff in Rabat, General Fructueux Gbaguidi, Chief of Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces.
During this meeting, the two officials discussed bilateral cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and its Beninese counterpart, in the presence of the concerned Chiefs of Offices of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
On this occasion, El Farouk and Gbaguidi praised the bonds of friendship, solidarity and mutual trust that bind the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Benin.
Dating back to the nineties, this military cooperation between the two armies is centered mainly on the training of Beninese military personnel in Royal Armed Forces schools and training centers, both for initial and continuing training and for higher military education.
In this regard, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the expansion of military cooperation to other areas and reiterated their willingness to continue to work for further promoting this bilateral cooperation.
