The White Dove Association for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Morocco (ACB) has launched an initiative to support the participation of people with disabilities in the political scene.
The Association reported in a press release that this initiative, part of the Association’s “My voice” project, is supported by the National Foundation for Democracy and aims to promote a favorable environment for the political participation of people with disabilities.
On this occasion, the Association issued a call for applications to people with disabilities in Morocco who are experienced in the political arena and passionate about defending the rights of disabled people to select 30 people to take part in the program to build capacity and knowledge in governance, promote the rights of people with disabilities, and develop leadership, advocacy, and political communication skills.
The White Dove Association for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Morocco also noted that the application deadline is September 3.
According to the same source, the initiative aims to establish a national network of elected representatives with disabilities, set up their governing bodies, and organize activities to broaden their scope of political participation.
