The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on October 31 that its prestigious Awards ceremony, which will honor the continent’s greatest talents for the year 2023, will be held on December 11 in Marrakech.
“Morocco is ready to celebrate the pride of African Football,” stated the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on its official account on X (formerly Twitter) platform.
During this prestigious ceremony, the Confederation of African Football will present its awards for the year 2023, including the awards for the African Player of the Year (African Ballon d’Or), Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, and Goal of the Year.
It should be recalled that Morocco had previously hosted the 2022 edition of this annual event in Rabat, during which Senegalese striker Sadio Mané was crowned African Player of the Year while Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala was crowned Player of the Year in the women’s category.
