Cadi Ayyad University (UCA) won the 2023 UNESCO-ICHEI (HE-DPC) Higher Education Digitalisation Pioneer Case Award in recognition of its commitment to the digitalization of higher education through its Hybrid Mode Certificate in University Pedagogy.
Designed to strengthen the skills of teachers in the integration of information and communication technologies (TIC), this certificate, launched by the CFCC-UCA Certification and Training Center in response to the challenges of teaching transition, has earned the university a place of honor among a hundred higher education institutions worldwide.
Following the success of a first experiment carried out locally, this center and the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) of the University of Shenzhen-China jointly launched a training program in digital pedagogy for a group of teachers from 11 French-speaking African countries, thus extending the impact of its expertise in the professional development of teachers.
The UNESCO-ICHEI was founded on June 8, 2016. On November 13, 2015, the 38th General Conference of UNESCO approved the creation of UNESCO-ICHEI in Shenzhen, China, which is the 10th category II education center in the world and the first category II center focused on higher education in China.
