His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, launched, on March 13 in the Yaâcoub El Mansour district in Rabat, the national operation “Ramadan 1445”, initiated by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and benefiting one million households.
This highly significant act of generosity, a tradition of over 25 years, illustrates the constant Royal concern for vulnerable populations and establishes the values of humanity and solidarity.
With a budget of MAD 347 million, the “Ramadan 1445” operation aims to provide help and comfort to the most vulnerable categories, notably widows, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
The operation will also benefit 82,040 households from the three provinces of Al Haouz, Taroudant, and Chichaoua, affected by the earthquake of September 8.
Organized with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, this initiative falls within the framework of the humanitarian program led by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity aimed at providing support for those in need.
On this occasion, and as a symbolic gesture, His Majesty the King handed over baskets of food items to 10 representatives of families benefiting from the “Ramadan 1445” operation, before posing for a souvenir photo with volunteers taking part in this solidarity operation.
It should be noted that the national food support operation has, since its launch in 1998, mobilized an overall budget of more than MAD 2 billion, with the number of beneficiary families amounting to one million in 2023 compared to 34,100 in 1998.
