“The former ambassador of Great Britain to Morocco, Thomas Reilly, returned to Morocco for a private stay. On his Twitter account, the diplomat seems to be excited to enjoy the colors and the warmth of the country”, Bladi Press stated.
Since he left Morocco, following the appointment of his successor, this is the first time that Thomas Reilly, who currently lives in France, has returned to Morocco for a private stay. “It’s wonderful to be back in Morocco, such a warm welcome. I can’t wait to go for a ride tomorrow to see Rabat in all its glory,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
The ambassador expressed the extent to which his enthusiasm, to return to a country that has marked him, is indescribable. He announced on the same social network that he should spend 10 days between Rabat and Marrakech to visit friends, “eat good Moroccan food and drink mint tea,” he wrote.
“It is really wonderful to hear the call to prayer again this morning. I have lived for many years listening to Adhan in different countries. I miss listening to it, very evocative, timeless, and beautiful. Thank you Rabat,” he tweeted on Sunday.
