Per the orders of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on May 14, at the Officers Mess Circle of Rabat, a luncheon offered by His Majesty the King, on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the creation of the FAR.
Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, and Commander of the Southern Zone, before reviewing a detachment of the Headquarters Battalion which paid the honors.
His Royal Highness was then greeted by the Head of Government, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of the National Defense Administration, the Lieutenant General, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Air Division General , Inspector of the Royal Air Forces, the Rear Admiral, Inspector of the Royal Navy and the Delegated Arms Commander of the Place de Rabat-Salé.
The luncheon was attended by the Head of Government, Advisors to His Majesty the King, members of the Royal Cabinet, members of the Government, senior officers of the General Staff of the FAR, foreign military attachés accredited to Rabat, in addition to other civil and military personalities.
The 68th anniversary of the creation of the FAR was celebrated at the various Places d’Armes, Garrisons, Units, and Contingents of the FAR, through ceremonies marked, in particular by the raising of colors, the reading of the Order of the Day addressed by His Majesty the King to members of the Royal Armed Forces, the presentation of decorations and troop parades.
