The Kingdom of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates adopted, on December 4 in Abu Dhabi, a joint communiqué following talks between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Within the framework of the brotherly work visit that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, is conducting to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of the President of State, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two Heads of State held fruitful bilateral talks with the aim of consolidating bilateral cooperation
In this regard, His Majesty the King, may Allah glorify Him, congratulated His brother Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan for the successful organization of the COP28 in Dubai, reiterating His warm congratulations to His Highness, on the occasion of the celebration of the 52nd Union Day of the United Arab Emirates, welcoming in this regard the development, progress, and prosperity that the country is witnessing under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
During this meeting, the leaders of the two countries also praised the excellent ties of brotherhood between Morocco and the UAE, and expressed their satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation and active solidarity between the two brotherly countries.
His Majesty the King and the Emirati President further reiterated their firm desire to strengthen these exceptional relations and to elevate them to the rank of an innovative, renewed, and multidimensional partnership covering all areas; a partnership ambitious in its objectives, innovative in its consolidation means, and advanced in its implementation mechanisms, serving the best interests of the two brotherly peoples.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King, may Allah glorify him, highlighted the achievements the Kingdom is witnessing, particularly in the field of infrastructure and the structural reforms carried out in various sectors, as well as the accompanying legislative and regulatory measures designed to encourage initiative and investment. The Sovereign also shed light on the Royal Vision which attaches importance to the promotion of economic and social development, based on productive investment benefiting both parties.
In a similar context, the Sovereign emphasized the great ambition with which the Kingdom perseveres on the path of economic and social progress, thanks to the launch of a large number of projects and investments that aim to achieve progress in social and development matters, particularly intending to organize the final phases of the 2030 World Cup. In this dynamic, Morocco ensures that brotherly countries and partners can contribute to said achievements and access the several promising investment opportunities that the Kingdom offers.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan commended the successful investment projects initiated by the United Arab Emirates in Morocco, welcoming the opportunities and potential that the Moroccan economy offers, as well as the multiple and diversified assets with which it abounds, such as a stimulating business climate, and an environment of security and stability which distinguish Morocco and make it an attractive destination for investment.
Capitalizing on successful experiences and relying on the common desire to continue the consolidation of fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates, the leaders of the two countries agreed to work towards combined efforts to succeed in this innovative and renewed partnership, to explore opportunities that will contribute to economic and human projects and support human development programs for the best interest of the two peoples and the two brotherly countries, with the aim of boosting bilateral relations and opening broader perspectives in different areas of cooperation and partnership in the medium and long term.
In this regard, the leaders of the two countries instructed the establishment of joint action plans relating to the implementation of the signed memorandums of understanding, reiterating the desire of the two brotherly countries to establish pioneering common partnerships in regional and international markets.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI expressed to His brother His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan His gratitude and consideration for the constant positions of the State of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the constant support His Highness reserves for matters relating to the Kingdom’s national causes and development.
