Al-Quds Governorate paid a tribute, at its headquarters in the municipality of Al-Ram, to Bayt Mal al-Quds Asharif Agency, which falls under al-Quds Committee, part of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in recognition of the efforts of the agency and its chairman, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in the service of the Holy City and its inhabitants.
This tribute took place, Thursday, during a meeting of the delegation of Bayt Mal al-Quds Asharif Agency, led by the Director Manager of the agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, with Deputy Governor of al-Quds Governorate, Abdullah Siam, in the presence of the Head of al-Quds Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Adnan al-Husayni, Mayor of Al-Ram municipality, Raqi Ghazawneh, and the governorate’s directors general.
During this meeting, Siam presented an honorary shield to Cherkaoui as a token for Bayt Mal al-Quds Agency’s support to Al-Quds, in recognition of the Agency’s efforts in support for the Holy City.
Siam also highlighted the conditions suffered by the inhabitants of Al-Quds due to the occupation measures and violations against them, and the ways to support the maqdessis resistance and presence in their land.
For his part, Al-Husayni commended the Kingdom of Morocco’s efforts and support of several sectors in al-Quds governorate.
At the end of this meeting, Siam presented to the Agency a copy of the annual report of the governorate’s public relations and media unit on the Israeli occupation’s violations in the governorate of Al-Quds in 2022.
