The President of the Parliament of the Andean Community, Cristina Hidalgo, commended, on February 19 in Rabat, Morocco’s efforts, under the Enlightened Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of strengthening the pillars of the social State, through projects aimed at achieving social protection and justice and guaranteeing an environment that promotes job creation.
In a statement to Maghreb Arab Presse (MAP) on the sidelines of the work of the 8th International Parliamentary Forum on Social Justice, Hidalgo noted that the Kingdom, thanks to the programs and initiatives launched over the last few years in the field of social protection and employment, constitutes today a model to follow among the countries of the South.
In a similar context, the official recalled that Morocco had hosted last week the work of the Parliamentary Conference on South-South Cooperation which focused on strengthening political dialogue and regional security in Africa, the Arab world, and Latin America to achieve peace, stability, and prosperity, affirming that the Kingdom’s organization of such events demonstrates its leadership in promoting dialogue around social policies, particularly in the countries of the South.
Organized by the House of Councilors in partnership with the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) under the theme “Decent Work in Favor of Sustainable Development”, the 8th International Parliamentary Forum on Social Justice aims to present parliamentary approaches capable of guaranteeing decent work, one of the foundations of the consolidation of social justice and the consecration of the pillars of the social State, in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines.
