Belgium commended the reforms carried out by Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, for a more open and dynamic Moroccan society and economy.
In a Joint Declaration adopted following the third meeting of the Morocco-Belgium High Joint Partnership Commission, co-chaired, on April 15 in Rabat, by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, and Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, Belgium stressed the importance of the New Development Model, in addition to several ambitious reforms, including that of the Family Code.
Belgium also hailed the Atlantic Initiative launched by His Majesty the King, describing it as “an innovative contribution to the integration of the African Atlantic” and the strengthening of cooperation with the countries of the Sahel.
