Morocco, Belgium Sign Two MoUs, Cooperation Roadmap

Morocco and Belgium signed, on April 15 in Rabat, two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and a cooperation roadmap on the occasion of the third meeting of the Morocco-Belgium High Joint Partnership Commission.

The Cooperation Roadmap, signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Belgian counterpart, Hadja Lahbib, lists the actions carried out within the framework of the political dialogue between the two countries and outlines the prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields such as energy transition, migration, security, human rights…etc.

Signed by the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and the North Sea, Paul Van Tigchelt, the first memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to establish a framework for collaboration and exchange between the parties in terms of modernizing the administration of justice, strengthening its management capacities and developing its resources through the exchange of information on legislative developments.

The second memorandum of understanding (MoU), which was signed by the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, and the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, relates to the field of green energy and aims to develop cooperation between the two parties, based on mutual benefit.
