The number of first-time vaccines is 19,041,052, while that of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) stands at 15,476,607, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the Covid-19 epidemiological situation.
The new report brings to 876,732 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco in March 2020. The number of recovered people rose to 813,670, or a cure rate of 92.8%.
New contaminations were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1.224), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (1.024), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (525), l’Oriental (402), Marrakech-Safi (304), Fès-Meknes (207), Souss-Massa (192), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (167), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (110), Drâa-Tafilalet (107), Guelmim-Oued Noun (65) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (36).
As for deaths, their total number rose to 12,923 (lethality 1.5%), with 104 new cases recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (23), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (15), Beni Mellal-Khénifra ( 13), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (12), Marrakech-Safi (12), l’Oriental (9), Drâa-Tafilalet (6), Fès-Meknès (5), Souss-Massa (4), Guelmim-Oued Noun (4) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).
The active cases number 50,139, while severe or critical cases reached 2,250, of which 57 were placed under intubation.
