Dakhla: Installation Ceremony for Guinea’s Consul General

The installation ceremony of the Consul General of the Republic of Guinea in Dakhla, Soriba Camara, was held on July 10 in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Abroad, Morissanda Kouyaté.

The installation ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 7th session of the Morocco-Guinea Joint Cooperation Commission, co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Guinean counterpart, Morissanda Kouyaté.

During this session of the Morocco-Guinea Joint Cooperation Commission, the two parties signed eight cooperation agreements and conventions in several fields.

The Republic of Guinea opened its Consulate General in Dakhla in January 2020, which reflects the solid and historic relations uniting Morocco and Guinea, strengthened by the visits of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Conakry in 2014 and 2017.

The ceremony was attended by the Wali of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region and Governor of Oued Eddahab province, Lamine Benomar, President of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Regional Council, El Khattat Yanja, and several elected officials and Guinean nationals living in Dakhla.
