The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, received on October 9 Rabat, the Diplomatic Advisor and Minister of State of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Suzi Carla Barbosa, who delivered a message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI from President of Guinea-Bissau, H.E. Umaro Sissoco Embalo.
In a statement to the press following her talks with Minister Bourita, Barbosa said, “In my capacity as a special emissary of the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, I am the bearer of a message to the Highest Attention of His Majesty the King”.
“The Republic of Guinea-Bissau enjoys solid friendship ties with the Kingdom of Morocco, which were forged long before our independence”, stated the Bissau-Guinean minister, recalling that the late His Majesty King Mohammed V “was among the first leaders to lend His invaluable support in our quest towards independence, a generosity for which we are sincerely grateful”.
Barbosa also expressed her country’s gratitude to the Moroccan people for their constant support for Guinea-Bissau.
