His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences to the family members of the late Khalil Hachimi Idrissi.
In this message, His Majesty the King stated that he “learnt with deep sadness the news of the passing of the illustrious writer and journalist Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, who joined Allah in these blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan.”
On this painful occasion, His Majesty the King expressed to the members of the family of the deceased, his relatives and his great media and cultural family, his friends, and admirers, His deepest condolences and sincere feelings of compassion, imploring Allah to surround the deceased with His mercy and His blessing and to grant the deceased’s family patience and comfort.
“We remember the great human qualities of the deceased, his proven professional competence, his integrity, commitment, and self-sacrifice in the performance of his duties as a writer, media manager, and director general of the Maghreb Arab Press Agency (MAP), in addition to his dedication and sincerity in defending the constants and sacred values of the Nation and his firm attachment to the glorious Alawid Throne,” added His Majesty the King.
The Sovereign implores Allah to shower “the deceased with His immense mercy, reward him amply for the valuable services he rendered to his country and his society, and accept him among his virtuous followers.”
“Give glad tidings, then, to those who remain patient; those who when any affliction smites them, they say: Verily, we belong to Allah, and it is to Him that we are destined to return.” (Surah Al-Baqarah:155-156)
