Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, arrived in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on July 27, to represent His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the second Russia-Africa Summit.
According to the Kremlin, the second Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum kicked off in Saint Petersburg with the participation of Heads of State, Heads of government, and ministers from 49 African countries.
The Moroccan delegation to this Summit includes, in addition to Akhannouch, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Russia, Lotfi Bouchaara.
Following its first meeting in Sochi in 2019, the Russia-Africa Summit is an opportunity to strengthen partnerships in the political, economic, scientific, cultural, and humanitarian fields.
The official agenda for this event, scheduled for July 27 and 28, includes over 50 sessions and round tables on several themes, including energy and food sovereignty.
