Minister for Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, held talks in Geneva, with the German Minister for Labor and Social Affairs, Hubertus Heil.
The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) World of Work Summit, preceded a major reform concerning migration, workers’ status, and access to jobs for foreigners in Germany.
On this occasion, Sekkouri and Heil praised the excellent relations uniting Morocco and Germany, stressing the need to seal a new generation of triple-win agreements for Morocco, Germany, and people wishing to seize international mobility opportunities.
This meeting took place in the presence of Moroccan and German ambassadors, permanent missions, and senior officials.
The World of Work Summit kicked off on June 14, in Geneva, as part of the 111th session of the International Labour Conference (ILC).
This high-level meeting, held under the theme “Social Justice for All,” aims to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration in favor of social justice and a proposal to create a Global Coalition for Social Justice, which is a multilateral initiative that was positively considered by the Governing Body of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) International Labour Office during its 347th session in March 2023.
This summit, attended by a Moroccan delegation led by Sekkouri, focuses on the significant role of social justice in achieving a more sustainable and just world.
