The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates has launched a new procedure for the delivery of proximity consular services for the benefit of Moroccans residing abroad (MRAs).
This new service, which testifies to the High solicitude with which His Majesty King Mohammed VI surrounds Moroccans residing abroad, aims to modernize consular services to satisfy users’ expectations for modern and interactive processes.
Within the framework of this new procedure, the Ministry set in place several coordination actions with the partner departments concerned as well as the establishment, on October 23, 2023, of the centralized electronic registry, which allows booking appointments for the various consular services.
To implement this new procedure, a test phase for the delivery of proximity consular services was carried out from November 13, 2023, at the level of Consular Posts in France, and from November 20, 2023, at the level of Consulates General in Spain.
It was subsequently decided to generalize this solution to all of the Kingdom’s Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts.
Moroccans residing abroad can now submit their appointment requests and benefit from the various consular services, except for services relating to civil status, pending the implementation of the new law relating to civil status.
